Meet Your Mentor
Hello, I'm Sumana Mukherjee, and I'm passionate about the boundless possibilities of space exploration. With a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from India, my journey in the realm of space technology research has been nothing short of exhilarating. A Decade of Dedication Over the past ten years, I've dedicated myself to the pursuit of knowledge and innovation in the field of space technology. My journey began with a humble start - my first space research paper was accepted during my second year of Bachelor's studies, setting the stage for an exciting career ahead. Over this decade, I have had the privilege of attending the International Astronautical Congress, four times in-person that helped me learn from the pioneers and stalwarts of the space sector. A European Odyssey I've had the privilege of traversing Europe in pursuit of my dreams, studying Space Engineering and working on cutting-edge space technology research across multiple countries. My work has spanned diverse domains, including satellite mission design, radiation shield design for moon habitats, and the development of autonomous navigation systems for lunar rovers. From Theory to Practice My real-world experience took flight a decade ago during my third year of Bachelor's studies when I was involved in my first satellite mission. This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into the practical aspects of space technology. A Mission to Inspire My mission is twofold: to continue conducting groundbreaking research in space mission design and to mentor aspiring engineers, nurturing their skills and guiding them towards thriving careers in the space industry and academia. I'm committed to fostering the next generation of space enthusiasts, both in India and abroad. Join Me on this Cosmic Journey Embark on a cosmic journey with me as we explore the infinite possibilities of space technology and inspire the engineers of tomorrow. Together, we'll reach for the stars and beyond.
