How It All Began

My journey started with a fascination for space exploration. The wonders of the cosmos, the moon's beauty, and the mysteries of the universe sparked a deep interest. But amidst this wonder, I realized something important: when we explore space, we should do it in a way that's ethical, environmentally friendly, and involves countries working together.

Closer to home, in the heart of India, while working on projects for cleaner energy systems, I saw that big changes involving infrastructure take time and need governments and policymakers to get involved. It got me thinking about what we as individuals can do to save our home planet.

​

The AHA moment arrived when I realised there is another huge polluter that each one of us has the ability to bring a change in - the world of fashion. Beyond the glitz and glamour, there are concerns. Fashion sometimes harms the environment and the people who make clothes. You know what the most interesting part is? Synthetic fibres harm you the most when you wear it. From trapping heat to introducing microplastics to your body - these clothes go a long way in causing trouble for consumers. It is clear that we all have a role to play in making fashion more sustainable. 

Did you know that the fashion choices you make everyday can shape the fashion industry and protect our planet? It's true. Every time you choose sustainable fashion, you're telling the industry that you care about the environment and the people behind your clothes.

By making conscious choices, like buying eco-friendly clothing or supporting ethical brands, you're part of a global movement. You're pushing the fashion industry to be more responsible and sustainable. It's a small step for you, but a giant leap for the planet.

Not just that, the models of space mission design could be a huge inspiration for circular fashion systems and sustainable fabrics from fashion on Earth could lead the way in developing a culture of using 'healthy and sustainable' fabrics for spacesuits as well as other garments required for long term space travel.

Sustain-A-Verse is the result of these two passions - space exploration and sustainable fashion. We're here because we believe in:

Here you will find the designers and the brands who are offering their clothes to you at affordable prices while making sure the fabrics, the production processes and the people behind the garments - all live and work in harmony.

4. Building a Community: We are building a community for a group of people who care about the same things you do. Together, we can make a bigger impact by sharing ideas and supporting each other.

5. Connecting Space and Fashion: We believe these two worlds are connected. What we learn in one area can help the other, creating a bigger change.
