Asha Gautam, a legacy couture house that has, for over 26 years, redefined Indian luxury through the revival of traditional crafts and timeless textiles
now presents Threaded Narratives — a stunning intersection of textile craftsmanship and collectible design. With this debut hand-embroidered wall art collection, the brand ushers in a new era where embroidery moves beyond fashion into the world of fine art.

As Gautam Gupta, Creative Director of Asha Gautam, shares:
"Each artwork takes anywhere between 400 to 1000 hours to complete. It’s not just embroidery — it’s storytelling in thread. For every piece, 2 to 8 artisans come together — each one bringing in their unique mastery, from sketching to final needlework. It’s a collective soul effort. And, we offer custom commissions. Whether it's a personalised theme or a scaled size, we typically require 6 to 10 weeks to complete and deliver a custom work, depending on its intricacy."
HERITAGE - Where the Past is Threaded in Gold | Ghats of Vrindavan

Techniques: Aari Embroidery, French Knots | Materials: Resham, Moti
This artwork captures the sacred stillness of the Ghats of Vrindavan, where red sandstone steps and arches meet the flowing river below — a place where devotion and architecture dissolve into each other. The ghats are depicted with intricate staircases, domes, and bridges, all hand-embroidered using fine resham threads and accentuated with moti for a soft, radiant sheen. Lush trees and blooming flowers spill into the scene, while birds in mid-flight animate the serene sky above. The river gently winds through the ghats, anchoring the composition in a meditative rhythm that reflects Vrindavan’s spiritual essence. A tribute to the architectural and devotional beauty of India’s sacred landscapes, this piece carries forward Asha Gautam’s vision — where textile becomes memory, and embroidery becomes timeless heritage.
NATURE - Nature’s Rhythm in Needlework | The Butterfly Garden

Techniques: Resham Embroidery, Aari, French Knots, Cutdana, Sequins | Hand Embroidery on Textile
A scene of pure delight, this artwork brings to life a garden alive with butterflies dancing amidst an array of blooming flowers. The composition celebrates nature at play — a moment where time pauses to admire the beauty of fluttering wings and fragrant blossoms. Each butterfly, embroidered in vivid shades of yellow, red, pink, and indigo, glides above a landscape rich with resplendent florals and leafy textures. French knots and resham embroidery give volume to every petal and wing, while subtle cutdana and sequins in the clouds add a touch of luminous calm to the sky above. Joyful, delicate, and alive with color, this piece captures the spirit of a perfect day in nature, where the air hums with life and the garden tells a story — one stitch at a time.
